In 1958, “Abidin Özen”, who was only 16 years old, immigrated to Bursa with his family from the village of Mamusha in Prizren, Yugoslavia. Abidin Özen started working as a busboy at the famous Levent Restaurant in Tahtakale. He started his career as a busboy at Levent Restaurant in Tahtakale, carrying ingredients, washing dishes, working as a waiter, and with his diligence, patience and love for his profession, he worked his way up to head chef. This passion for his profession returns to him as success. Abidin ÖZEN, who will become a strong and reliable Bursa brand with the name “Abidin Usta”, takes the first step into the adventure of flavor full of success and pride. In 1967, with the experience he gained in the sector, he opened his first restaurant at the entrance of Kayhan Bazaar in partnership with our compatriot Hamit Gülseven. In a short time, the reputation of his juicy dishes spread, especially his milk halva! Abidin Usta's customers increase day by day and the reputation of the flavor of his dishes gradually spreads. In 1972, he leaves the partnership and opens Yeni Lokanta in Tuzpazarı. In 2004, he buys the building of the restaurant in Tuzpazarı, where he is a tenant, and after having it restored, he continues his flavor adventure with the brand “Abidin Usta Ottoman Cuisine”.
