Hamdi Restaurant Eminönü
Hamdi Arpacı from Urfa Birecik came to Istanbul towards the end of the 1960s. It opened its first counter at the corner of the parking lot next to the Eminönü New Mosque... It has served delicious kebab varieties to shopkeepers and customers for 7 years, with a small grill and mobile counter.
The kebabs prepared by Hamdi Usta became famous day by day. Hamdi Usta, whose number of customers increased day by day, established Hamdi Meat Restaurant at the corner of the same parking lot. In this place, which has been in service for 18 years, kebabs with the unique taste of the Southeast region are presented to customers while preserving their authentic features and preparation.
By taking the 3 floors of the place where the restaurant is located, then the other floors, the current 5-storey place was created. Again, overlooking the same parking lot, this place hosts not only local tradesmen, but also tourist groups, business dinners and sira nights.
The unique view of Istanbul; Galata, Eminönü, Sultanahmet, the Bosphorus… The impressive design of the place… Hamdi Restaurant has become a sought-after venue with its 320-person capacity and 105 employees. Hamdi Usta, who successfully brought the basic features of the Southeast table to Istanbul, has come to this day by always preserving the taste of the first day and improving its service understanding every day.
