Memişağa Mansion

Memişoğlu Mansion

It is located in Balıklı, 4 km east of Sürmene district. It is a two-storey building with a stepped facade, mostly of stone, with wide eaves.

It is famous for its stone and especially woodworking in our region. Door wings and ceilings exhibit the most perfect examples of woodworking.

In the middle of the west room on the upper floor of the building, which is thought to have been built in the 18th century, there is a piece that can rotate around a mile: it acts as a fan and a weather vane. Due to this feature of the ceiling, the mansion was called "Mansion with a revolving ceiling" among the people.
