Zamantı River

Zamantı River is one of the two main branches feeding the Seyhan River and its basin. It originates from the Şerefiye district of Uzunyayla, at an altitude of 1500 meters, in the Pınarbaşı district of Kayseri. It flows first north-south, then northeast-southwest along the Zamantı Valley, which starts from Pınarbaşı and becomes a deep valley, and receives the river by passing through the Pınarbaşı, Tomarza, Develi and Yahyalı districts of Kayseri. It is west in Tomarza and north-south in Yahyalı Büyükçakır. After passing, it draws the Kayseri-Adana border and flows towards Mengez and leaves the borders of Kayseri at the foot of the Karanti mountain; 80 km from Adana. away from the town of Aladağ, at the foot of Akinek Mountain, it merges with the Göksu River to form the Seyhan River.
