Aynalı Çarşı
Aynalı Çarşı (or Halyo Çarşısı) is a covered bazaar in Çanakkale. It was built in 1890 by Eliyau Hallio, one of the notables of the city's Jewish community. There are two inscriptions on the door inscription, Ladino with Ottoman Turkish and Hebrew letters. Statements that the "master bazaar" in Ottoman Turkish was built by "Abdülhamid Han-ı Sani El Gazi (Abdülhamid) thank you and one of his followers, Elya Halyo, benders from the Jewish community". Sultan II. On the occasion of the 14th anniversary of Abdulhamid's reign, it was built by Eliyau Hallio in 5650, by the Jew, who became Ladino. His real name is "Passage Hallio". When viewed with two eyes, it is only known as Aynalı Çarşı. The name of Aynalı Çarşı is also mentioned in Çanakkale's famous Çanakkale Folk Song.
The bazaar was bombed during the Dardanelles War and will be destroyed by the fires. The Armistice of Mudros, the British who occupied Çanakkale, used the settlement bazaar (1918-1921) as a "stable" for their horses. For some time after 1921 (entrance gate passage) remained in ruins and was not used. Shops were built in the area that appears as covered bazaar in the land registry cadastral records. In 1934, it was the epitaph on the door of the attacks and looting against production. The building belongs to Çanakkale Municipality.
