Historical Kaleiçi Bazaar
Kaleici Bazaar; It has appeared on the stage of history as the first place where Denizli was founded. Although the construction date of the castle is shown as 1243-1250, it is understood that the people who escaped from the earthquakes in Laodicea started to settle here and that the Roman and Byzantine ruins were found in the excavations, and it was rebuilt using the material of a castle destroyed in earthquakes or a similar structure. Kaleiçi is now a bazaar. It continues to be the oldest bazaar of Denizli where products such as textiles, shoes, copper and iron handicrafts are sold.
