Long Market

Orhan Mosque in the center of Adapazarı was built by Konuralp Bey on behalf of Orhan Gazi after the conquest of Adapazarı during the Ottoman period. Made of cut stone, the mosque has no dome, a single minaret and a rectangular plan. It was completely renovated during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit II. Together with the long bazaar right next to it, this mosque is a nice place for a short break in the rush of daily life with its places where people can shop, drink tea and eat bagels.

Uzunçarşı, located next to Orhan Mosque, consists of about 100 shops and is one of the oldest and most established bazaars of Adapazarı from the Ottoman period. Most of the old tradesmen in Uzunçarşı are immigrants from Bulgaria, Bosnia, Albania and Romania. In the early period, Armenians and Greeks were the first founders of the bazaar. It is the main trade center of the city. It has an important place in the shopping life of Sakarya people.
