Blue Hot Springs
Mavi Kaplıca (also known as Fevziye Thermal Springs, Blue Hot Springs or Blue Thermal Springs) is a natural thermal spring located within the boundaries of Fevziye Village, Ortaca district, Muğla Province, Turkey. It is known among locals and visitors as a thermal and spa destination due to its naturally warm and mineral-rich waters.
Geography
Mavi Kaplıca is situated in the southwestern part of Turkey’s Aegean Region, near Fevziye Village in the Ortaca district of Muğla. It is approximately 10 km from Dalaman town center and relatively close to major tourism destinations such as Marmaris and Fethiye.
History and Discovery
There is no well-documented historical record regarding the early use of the spring. However, local sources indicate that the thermal waters have been known and used by residents since the mid-20th century and were gradually opened to visitors. The name “Mavi” (meaning blue) derives from the turquoise-blue appearance of the water.
