Akçakoca Mancara Pide

Mancara Pita, which has come to this day from the Ottoman Period, is still being made in the villages of Akçakoca. It is made by using greens such as chard or spinach, which are called chard grass. These plants, which grow in the wet soils of the Düzce plain, which receives plenty of precipitation, are a food store rich in vitamins. Mancara grass is cooked in the prepared dough and becomes a pita.
