Besni Grape
Besni grape, also known as "prophet grape", is a dried nut obtained from a large, long and plump grape variety, which is usually grown in Adıyaman province and its districts. As the name suggests, it takes its name from the Besni district of Adıyaman. It is usually grown in villages close to the city centers of Besni and Gölbaşı districts.
Production; It goes through cutting, granulation, lubrication and drying stages. It is lubricated with a mixture of potassium carbonate and olive oil, also known as potash, and left to dry. Olive oil should be at a 3 or 4 ratio of acidity, and the potash degree should be at 15 °C in water, at an average of 17 °C.
