Cypriot Pita
Warm water and milk are taken in a bowl and 1 teaspoon of sugar is added into it. After adding half a packet of yeast, it is left for 10 minutes. Then, yoghurt, salt and flour are added little by little to obtain a dough that does not stick to the hand. The bowl is covered and waited for 1 hour until the dough rises. The fermented dough is divided into meringues with a knife or by hand. Greaseproof paper is laid on the tray and floured. The opened meringues are placed on the tray. It is cooked at 220 degrees for 10 minutes. Butter is rubbed on it.
