Date Dessert
1 egg
250 g butter
1 tea glass (ajda) oil
Half a tea glass (ajda) milk or water
1 tablespoon of yogurt
1 packet of baking powder
1 packet of vanilla
1 bowl of coarsely chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
Flour as much as it takes (approximately 4-5 cups of 200 ml)
For the syrup;
4.5 cups sugar
5.5 cups of water
2-3 drops of lemon
First of all, let's prepare and cool our sherbet so that the sherbet will be cold and our dessert will be hot.
To 4.5 cups of sugar, add 5.5 cups of water, mix and put on the stove.
After it starts to boil, let it boil for about 40 minutes, squeeze 2-3 drops of lemon, boil for another 5 minutes, turn off the heat and let it cool.
On the other side, melt our butter in a pan and warm it until it reaches the consistency to enter the dough.
Put the warmed butter, 1 tea glass of oil, 1 egg, half a tea glass of milk, 1 tablespoon of yogurt, baking powder and vanilla in our kneading bowl and start kneading by adding flour little by little. We will get a very soft dough.
Finally, add our walnuts and knead a little more and let it rest for 15 minutes.
After the dough rests, let's take a piece the size of a walnut and open it by pressing lightly on the small side of your grater, if you have a grater.
Let's lift it from the grater by curling it from one end and place it on our greased tray and bake it in a preheated 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
As soon as it comes out of the oven, pour our cold syrup over it immediately. We can serve it after it has absorbed the syrup for 2-3 hours. Enjoy your meal.
