Foam Halva
Other regions around Foam Halva Taraklı are also known. It is made with soapwort root, egg, sugar and glucose and eaten by adding tahini.
1 kilogram of çegen root and 20 liters of water are prepared for boiling. The mixture is boiled until it reaches 10 liters. Take 1 liter from it and add 2 egg whites and mix well. Syrup is prepared by boiling 10 kilograms of granulated sugar, 10 kilograms of glucose and 5 liters of water at 118 degrees. It is added to the pre-curdled solution and mixed well and left to cool. After the cooling process is completed, the halva is ready to be served. Halva is eaten in this way, as well as by mixing tahini into it.
