Ispıt Leaf Wrapping

The plant called ispıt or borage leaf is unique to Kastamonu and is obtained by collecting from the branches of the tree. Similar to the leaf wrap made from grape leaves in many regions, the sprat leaf wrap is larger and has a very delicious taste locally. After the filling is completed, the leaves are wrapped in the form of stuffing and served after cooking. Spinach leaf wrap, which is preferred as a hot starter on large and pleasant tables, is a very different flavor among Kastamonu local products.
