Kapak Pastry
Kapak Pastry, which is unique to our Güzelyurt district, is usually cooked on a tray with onions or potatoes, on embers under the lid. The coals and ashes that are fried at the bottom of the tray are spread on the top of the lid, so that the distribution of heat allows the pastry to be cooked with the heat from the top without turning it inside out.
