Karsambaç
Karsambaç is a dessert prepared by adding a sweet syrup such as molasses, honey or sugar syrup to grated ice or clean snow. This dessert is especially popular in the plateaus of Mersin such as Çamlıyayla. Hummus, porridge, buckthorn soup, Silifke yoghurt, boiling, baked goods, sini meatballs, babagannuş, citrus jam, and pickled skioruğu are other Mersin delicacies that should be tasted. In addition, Anamur bananas, Tarsus grapes, Silifke strawberries, Mut apricots, olive oil and Tarsus Sarıulak Olives are among other delicious local products.
