Meyan Sorbet
Licorice sherbet, licorice root sherbet, is a drink obtained from licorice root. It is a preferred drink in the Southeastern Anatolia region, especially in Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa and Kilis, especially in summer and during Ramadan. It is sold in the bazaar-market with a bucket carried on their backs, as is the custom of the ancients.
