Nardanaşı
Nardanaşı is the most famous of the sour meat dishes unique to Diyarbakır. Nardanaş, which is a sour juicy meatball, is famous for its pomegranate syrup. Lean ground beef, fine bulgur and basil, and large rounded meatballs are cooked with onions, chickpeas and pomegranate. The final version of the dish, decorated with pomegranate seeds and herbs, is astonishing.
