Olives
There are two types of olives to be Olea europea oleaster (wild) ve Olea europea sativa (reclaimed) in Çanakkale province. Çanakkale province also entered in the records first began with the ancient olive activities in Greek, (Gargara, Küçükkuyu, Assos in Ayvacık district). Çanakkale’s olives in agricultural activities is important to have a place in total consists as 27.175 hectares. Then in the share of agriculture in the areas of olive 8,15 % respectively. There is the 4,413,357 units consists of many olive trees olives especially Ayvalık variety of species for oil in Çanakkale province. Ezine and Ayvacık the most important locations in the olive Çanakkale province. These two districts in the province have olive tree contain 74.27%.
