Pastor Stew
One of the most famous dishes in the city, Pastor Stew is also known as onion stew. The story of its name dates back to the old days when Turks, Greeks, Jews and Bulgarians lived together in Kırklareli. The priest, who was sick at the time, liked the onion stew from a Turkish neighbor. Because the priest kept asking his Turkish neighbor for the onion stew, the dish was named Papaz Stew.
