Rize Bagel
Rize bagel, bublik, or bald bagel is a type of bagel without sesame. Simit was brought from Russia under the name Bubrik to the Pazar district of Rize in the 19th century and spread from there. Simit, which became synonymous with Rize over time, was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and received a geographical indication certificate in 2018.
