Roasted Börek
There are many dishes and local flavors that Tatars have added to Eskişehir's culinary culture. Roasted börek is a very satisfying flavor that is consumed at tea times, with tea in cafes or accompanied by breakfast. However, roasted börek, which attracts attention especially by foreign tourists, is best made in small venues in the old history-smelling streets of Eskişehir. It leaves a very pleasant taste in the mouth when consumed fresh as if it were touched by the mother's hand. Roasted börek is prepared by adding rice and minced meat to the dough fried in oil. In this context, the dough takes on an exquisite taste with the flavor of both ground beef and rice. In Eskişehir, many people go to their relatives by making roasted pies in order not to leave empty-handed. The flavor, which makes a good contribution to the survival of social solidarity within this framework, can also be made on special occasions.
