Shawarma
Shawarma is a popular Middle Eastern dish originating from the Ottoman Empire, consisting of thinly sliced meat stacked in a cone shape. and fried in a slowly rotating vertical roaster or skewer. Traditionally made with lamb or mutton, it can also be made with chicken, turkey, veal or veal. Thin slices are cut from the cooked surface while it is constantly rotating. Shawarma is a popular street food in much of the Middle East, including Egypt, Iraq, and the Levant, and is also widely served in Saudi Arabia.
