Sivas Donut
Sivas donut is a special kind of donut produced in Sivas region and not very well known in Turkey. Sivas pastry is a street delicacy. It is a food that can be found in every bakery in Sivas and is frequently consumed by the people of the region. It is produced both with and without sesame. A fresh donut can be extremely brittle and soft. There are even those who call it the simit of Sivas.
It is produced almost nowhere other than Sivas. There is not much information about its history. It is thought to have originated in the ancient times of Anatolia. Outside of Sivas; It is also produced in Zara, Hafik, Suşehri, Yıldızeli and Kangal districts and the villages connected to these districts. People consume it for breakfast, along with tea.
