Yassı Kadayıf
Kadayıf dessert is made quite differently in Kastamonu. Flat kadayıf, which is very famous especially in Malatya region, is prepared as a dessert in many houses in Kastamonu and consumed with pleasure. Flat kadayıf, which is indispensable for iftar tables in Ramadan, is one of the important members of Kastamonu local desserts. The flat Kadayıf that emerges when kadayıfs take shape as a whole is also called stone kadayıf. Flat kadayıf, which includes plenty of walnuts or hazelnuts, is a special recipe made with local delicacies. People who eat this dessert, which is kept ready for service in many restaurants, cannot leave it again.
