Zerde
Zerde is a traditional dessert in Turkish cuisine that belongs to the regions of Istanbul, Gaziantep, Balıkesir, Konya, Şanlıurfa, Tekirdağ, Edirne and Karaman. It is prepared by cooking rice with water and adding barberry sugar and cloves. It is a kind of sugary rice jelly that is colored and flavored with saffron.
