Andon Thermal Springs
Andon Ilıcası, located within the borders of Küçükçayır Village of the central district, is located 25 kilometers from the center of Rize via Salarha road, in a forested area with local vegetation and 763 meters above sea level. The region, which has two separate drinking fountains, is a settlement with a population of five thousand and consists of seven neighborhoods.
In the analyses carried out in 1972 at the Chemical Analysis Branch Directorate of the Ministry of Health Refik Saydam Central Hygiene Institute in order to determine the characteristics of Andon Ilıcası, it was determined that it belongs to the sodium bicarbonate carbongazose water group and contains iron and aluminum. When the colorless, odorless, sedimentary and gaseous water is consumed at its source, it is known to be good for heart, intestinal diseases, nutritional disorders, liver and biliary tract diseases, stomach and blood diseases, and its bath is known to be good for rheumatic diseases, fractures and dislocations and gynecological diseases. The taste of the water is similar to soda. It is also known to have a relaxing effect on the human body.
