Diyadin Thermal Hot Spring
Diyadin is a district known for its hot springs. The hot springs, which the people call Çermik and Avagerm, are called Köprü, Yılanlı Davut and Tazekent. 7km from Çermikler town centre. It is far away and on the eastern bank of the Murat River. Since the land where the chermiks are located is rugged, they are scattered over a wide area. 500-1000m between them. There is distance.
The waters here contain radioactivity, calcium, sulfur, carbon dioxide, magnesium, sulfur, bicarbonate, and iron. It is very healing for diseases such as skin diseases, nervous disorders, gastrointestinal and kidney diseases, gynecological diseases, respiratory diseases, especially rheumatism and sciatica.
The beautiful-looking limestone tuffs and travertine formed from the hot spring waters have made these places spectacular. The influx of people to these hot springs starts in June and continues until the end of August. Nearby villages and townspeople also benefit in other months.
Diyadin Municipality operates the thermal springs by renting them out. Most of those who come here stay in their own camping tents. There are restaurants, hotels, hostels and coffee houses.
The temperature of the water is 60-70 degrees. The 3-star thermal hotel, which was put into operation by Ağrı Governorship in 2000, brought vitality to Diyadin district.
Analysis of Diyadin Thermal Spring Waters In general, the structure of the waters; Since it contains calcium, bicarbonate, hydrogen, sulfur, carbon dioxide, sulfur and sulphate, it has a high radioactive effect. There is some Magnesium in Yılanlı and Davut pottery.
