Antalya Guides Room ARO
The Antalya Guides Chamber, supported by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, along with all relevant public institutions and organizations, private organizations, and NGOs, supports R&D and implementation efforts with concrete, up-to-date, and scientific data. It recognizes the creation of a strong "TURKEY" brand, aligned with global competitive conditions, and the establishment, positioning, and development of brand value, in line with the principles of sustainability and continuity, as essential.
The Antalya Guides Chamber declares its openness to all kinds of collaborations with all national and international tourism stakeholders within the framework of the law, prioritizing the interests of the country, for the development of tourism. Increasing the quality of tourists visiting our country along with their number is among ARO's primary objectives.
Among the ARO's founding objectives are the recognition and improvement of the tourist guiding profession, the enhancement of its quality, and the promotion of its public prestige; and the development, defense, and protection of professional rights.
To this end, it aims to ensure honesty and trust in the relationships between members of the profession and with clients; It undertakes all necessary efforts to defend and protect the professional order, ethics, and reputation, the rule of law, and human rights, and to meet the common needs of guides.
ARO's primary responsibilities include collaborating effectively with universities and all other relevant educational institutions offering tourism guiding training to improve the quality of the guiding profession, and conducting joint studies and research to enhance the diversity and quality of tourism guiding educational resources.
ARO believes in human rights, universal values, democracy, and the rule of law. It considers defending social demands filtered through these principles to be fundamental conditions for living together in line with our national interests.
ARO is aware of its responsibility as a civil society organization in establishing, developing, and consolidating peace and justice in our country and around the world. In line with its responsibilities to society, it believes it is essential to implement social responsibility projects that contribute to the rights and well-being of society and to raise public awareness, in collaboration with all relevant civil society organizations.
ARO is aware of the vital importance of an environmentally conscious approach that defends the right to nature for all living beings and for sustainable tourism.
ARO considers it crucial to garner the support of a broader public opinion through its social responsibility projects, promoting the guiding profession and enhancing its reputation in the public eye, to effectively defend its professional rights.

We declare our admiration and passionate commitment to this unique historical depth and cultural richness, and our commitment to taking initiative in all necessary efforts to preserve and pass on Anatolia's tangible and intangible cultural heritage to future generations. According to Law No. 6326, ARO undertakes the following duties:
Tourist guides are the professional group most familiar with the historical, cultural, social, and natural values of our country, as well as the target audience of our tourism sector.
To seek the opinions of members on matters concerning the Antalya Guides Chamber and, in light of these opinions, to determine the opinions and views of the majority.
To design the activities carried out by the Antalya Guides Chamber to achieve a common goal and to ensure the development of the profession.
To protect the general interests of the members of the Antalya Guides Chamber and the ethics, order, and traditions of the profession.
To strengthen professional ties by introducing members of the Antalya Guides Chamber to each other.
To make necessary statements and publications to ensure that tourism-related laws are developed and implemented in accordance with the needs of our country; and to prepare preliminary drafts if necessary.
To convey the opinions of the Antalya Guides Chamber to the relevant authorities on matters concerning the Antalya Guides Chamber.
To ensure that the members of the Republic of Turkey are informed of the need for a comprehensive report. Providing reports on professional matters concerning the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, tourism-related authorities, and the Antalya Chamber of Guides.
Undertaking all necessary efforts to encourage and ensure the professional development of tour guides.
Ensuring that the rights and responsibilities granted to tour guides by law are fully and honorably fulfilled.
Producing publications, organizing conferences, and encouraging the production of copyrighted and translated works to raise the scientific and professional standards of the members of the Antalya Chamber of Guides.
Keeping in touch with all tourism-related boards and institutions.
