Gaziantep Regional Tourism Guides Rooms
Following the launch of the guide certification program in Gaziantep in 2002, Mehmet Severoglu and 15 of his colleagues founded the GARED Association with fellow guides in the region. Sadettin Özer was elected as the association's first president. Our organization, which began in 2002, was established in 2013 with the application of 103 colleagues, along with the Guide Law, and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6326 on Tourist Guide Profession. The Gaziantep Regional Tourist Guides Chamber was established on March 11, 2013, with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The chamber held its general assembly on May 8, 2013, and Mehmet Severoglu was elected as its first president. Our chamber serves the region encompassing the provinces of Gaziantep, Hatay, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, and Kilis. We thank all the Presidents, Board Members, and our colleagues who have contributed since 2002.
