Adapazarı Train Station

Adapazarı Station is the main train station of TCDD, located in the Semerciler neighborhood of Adapazarı district of Sakarya. Located on the Arifiye – Adapazarı branch railway line, the station was built by Chemins de Fer Ottomans d'Anatolie / Ottoman Anatolian Railways (CFOA) Company for the Ottoman Anatolian Railways line and entered service on November 1, 1899. Although it was planned to extend the railway line from here to Bolu and Ankara, this plan was not realized and the station remained as the last point of the line. The station served Haydarpaşa - Adapazarı Regional Train (Adapazarı Express) between 1977 and 2012 and Adaray between 2013 and 2016. Since 2015, it has been serving the Adapazarı - Gebze Regional Train (Island Express).
