Karaman Train Station
Karaman Station is the main at-grade train station belonging to TCDD, located on Atatürk Street in Nefise Sultan District in the city center of Karaman. Located on the Konya – Ulukışla – Yenice railway and the Konya – Ulukışla – Yenice high standard railway, the station was built by the Chemins du Fer Impérial Ottomans de Bagdad / Ottoman Imperial Baghdad Railway (CIOB) Company for the Baghdad Railway and was put into service on 25 October 1904. CIOB Company started to be managed by the first state railway company, Chemins de fer d'Anatolie Baghdad / Anatolia–Baghdad Railways (CFAB) Company, in 1924. In 1927, CFAB Company was nationalized and the lines and train stations operated by the company were transferred to the State Railways and Ports Administration. It came under the control of (DDYL). DDYL was replaced by TCDD - which was then called the General Directorate of State Railways - in 1929. Consisting of an edge platform and an island platform, the station serves Ankara - Karaman and Istanbul - Karaman High Speed Trains, Toros Express Mainline Trains and Konya - Karaman Regional Trains.
