Yenice Train Station
Yenice Train Station is the train station of TCDD located in Tarsus district of Mersin.
The station, which is the junction point of Konya - Yenice railway and Adana - Mersin railway, was built by Mersin - Tarsus - Adana Railway / Mersin - Tarsus - Adana Railway (MTA) Company for the Adana - Mersin railway and entered service on 2 August 1886. The station, which was frequently operated by different companies between 1886 and 1948, came under the control of TCDD -then the General Directorate of State Railways- in 1948.
Consisting of an edge platform and an island platform serving three rails within a seven-rail railway line, the station serves the Taurus Express and Erciyes Express Mainline Trains and Mersin - Adana, Mersin - İskenderun, Mersin - İslahiye Regional Trains.
In addition, there is Yenice Logistics Village, which was built to facilitate freight transportation by rail, next to the station.
