Deremezra
Deremezra is a village in Ardeşen district of Rize province. Kombala Festival is organized in the village.The old name of Deremezra village is Oğvare. Oğvare, a Laz place name, derives from the word “ğvali” or “ğvari” meaning sorrel and refers to the place where this plant grows. While Oğvare was a neighborhood of Yukarıdurak village, it was transformed into a separate village in 2022.The plateau used by Aşağıdurak and Yukarıdurak villages is also named Deremezra.Deremezra village is 40 km away from Ardeşen district center. It is located in the Tunca Valley, 1,110 meters above sea level. Deremezra Plateau is located within the borders of the village.
