Kabakdagi Village
Kabakdağı Village is 8 km away from Fatsa district center.
It is possible to reach the village, which has a river, lake and sea view, by all kinds of road transportation vehicles in all seasons.
The population of Kabakdağı Village consists of families who migrated from Batumi after the Ottoman-Russian War in 1877.
Thanks to the efforts of the Georgian people to keep their traditions and customs alive, it is possible to find Georgian inspiration in their daily lives, special days and kitchens. There are more than 100 types of local dishes in the village. The dishes mainly contain walnuts and spices (coriander, basil, black cumin). Since certified organic hazelnut, fruit, vegetable and animal food production is carried out in Kabakdağı Village, it is possible to taste different local flavors.
It is the only village with eco-tourism work together with organic agriculture. Organic agriculture and eco-tourism have been going on in the village since 2001. Culture and Tourism Festival is organized in Kabakdağı Village in the first week of July every year by the local people who do not break their ties with Georgia.
