Kalecik Village
It used to belong to Christians. These are houses Christians built long ago for themselves. However, villagers began settling there and living there, earning their living from their own gardens and farming and animal husbandry. The area at the top of the neighborhood is called Kale. Because Kale was larger, it was called Kale. As the village's population and settlement area decreased, it was renamed Kalecik. The neighborhood's original name is Keleh, meaning castle in Kurdish. It later became Kalecik in Turkish. Its castle-like location gives it its name. Because it is located in the Bunisra Valley, it is also called Keleha Bunisra, meaning "Bunisra Castle" in Kurdish. Several films and music videos have also been filmed in this neighborhood.
