Moryayla Village

The settlement is mentioned as a village with the name "Madur" in Ottoman sources. According to the avarız register of 1642, there were 11 Muslim and 2 Christian households living in the village of İspir, where there are farms and arable land[1]. In the village, where only the Muslim population has been living since the beginning of the 19th century; In the census carried out to determine the male population in 1835, there were 72 Muslim populations. In the census made in 1896 within the framework of the reforms carried out by Ahmed Şakir Pasha, 139 Muslim male population was determined.The economy of the neighborhood is based on agriculture and animal husbandry.
