Trilye (Zeytinbağı) Village

Tirilye is a neighborhood in the Mudanya district of Bursa. Before the Turkish-Greek population exchange, it was a large and wealthy Greek town known for its olives and olive oil. After its inhabitants migrated to Greece as part of the exchange, Muslim-Turkish immigrants from Thessaloniki and Crete settled in the town. Bearing traces of Byzantine and Ottoman architecture, Tirilye is now known as a tourist town. It is located 11 kilometers west of the district center, on the coast of the Marmara Sea. To the east of the settlement are the villages of Kumyaka (Sigi), to the west Eğerce, to the southwest Yalıçiftlik, and to the south Kaymakoba and Mirzaoba.
