Yazyurdu Village
Yazyurtdu is a village in the central district of Bayburt.
The village is the largest in Bayburt. In the past, there were Armenians and Greeks in the lands where the village was located. Later, the ancestors of the current owners of the village came and foreigners left here while the Republic of Turkey was in the process of being established due to historical events. In addition, the old name of the village has changed over time as Çakmas, Çakmaz, Çakmanos. Those who live here now usually call the village Çakmas. There are Armenians in the village, Lezgioğulları from Anzer and those who migrated from Of - Çaykara. The local people are called Memoğulları, the family from Of is Çakıroğlu, and the people of Çaykara are called Fettahoğulları.
37 km from the center of Bayburt. The climate of the village, the continental climate is felt more. Higher areas are mostly within the influence of the Black Sea climate. Bayburt culture and traditions are experienced in the village. Its folkloric is Bar. It is spoken in the village with the Bayburt accent "Gelirem, gidirem". The village has both drinking water and sewage mains network. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is a health center but it is not used. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village.
