Mut Yerköprü Waterfall

Yerköprü Waterfall, which is one of the 94 nature monument trees protected in Turkey by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, as well as 8 different pieces of nature with the features created by natural and natural events, was registered as a Natural Monument on May 03, 2011. In the research conducted by experts on the waterfall, which is 35 kilometers away from the center of Mut District, it is stated that it emerged 110 million years ago with the presence of a very narrow spring water as a result of the utilization of Cretaceous (Chalk Period) aged limestones. The waterfall, which flows from a height of about 30 meters, has a 200-meter-long, 10-meter-wide water tunnel with a 10-15-meter-deep lake at its base, with unspoiled stalactites and rich vegetation. The cave, which is one of the most effective places and serves as a bridge, is fed by the water coming from the Gezende Dam and the movement at the junction of the water coming out of the eye at the bottom of the rock brings coolness.
