Yakupaga Mosque
Its first construction started with the mosque built by Halimi Çelebi, the teacher of Yavuz Sultan Selim. Later, in 1547, the Treasury Chief of Suleiman the Magnificent, Yakup Ağa, renovated the mosque; He built a madrasa, soup kitchen, guesthouse and primary school next to it, turning the building into a social complex.Mosque; It is made of cut stone, the domes are covered with lead. Its minaret was built in the southwest corner of the mosque. The door of the mosque draws attention with its wooden and mother-of-pearl workmanship. It is one of the best examples of carving art. On the panels on the door wings; There are inscriptions "May the door of this mosque always be opened with joy" and "I testify to the oneness of Allah".
